tree candy baubles

Wow.  If you haven't colored a clear glass ornament with Ranger alcohol inks and canned air yet, you're missing out!!  These shiny baubles are pure "tree candy"!!!

Tim Holtz and Bonnie Edgerton from Ranger, recently shared a  technique video "Glass Ornament Splatter".  Check it out!!  The ink colors swirl with soft short blasts of canned air (the kind you clean your computer and keyboard with) creating really intense, blingy, marbley almost glowing  swirls.  You must try it!

My daughter Meghan works for Heritage Christian Services,  an agency that provides care and programs for people with developmental disabilities.  She is a direct support staff  in a residential setting with six wonderful adults.  Tonite i went over to visit with my bag of artsy goodies and we had an ornament party! We made these ornaments for their tree trimming celebration this weekend.  I personalized them with a white Sharpie Paint Pen.  It was such fun, they made this heap of sparkley treasures that they will  share with their families and friends.
We all had a BALL, ha ha!  No, we had a BLAST, ha ha!!!

The pure joy of sharing life with these special friends and their staff filled my heart  with some REAL Christmas.
